ACTS Seminaries professor authors new book for pastors

Langley, British Columbia—Kenton C. Anderson, PhD, tackles the place of preaching in a postmodern world in his new book, Preaching with Conviction. Anderson, who, according to Calvin Miller of Beeson Divinity School, “may well be the next creative voice that evangelicals have been waiting for,” addresses today’s notion of relative truth and helps pastors discover new ways of introducing people to the unchanging authority of God’s Word. Through the story of a fictional preacher, he acknowledges many of the questions that pastors face, and offers hope and wisdom for the future of preaching.

Anderson, who earned his PhD from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, is a dean of Northwest Baptist Seminary and assistant professor of applied theology at the Associated Canadian Theological Schools (ACTS) of Trinity Western University. He has years of experience as a pastor, and is a member of the Evangelical Homiletics Society.

Preaching with Conviction is published by Kregel Publications and can be purchased at Trinity Western University’s Bookstore. For more information or to order, call (604) 513-2005 or toll free at 1-800-882-3188.
