TWU musicians perform first chamber concert of the year and set the mood for Christmas in two upcoming concerts

Trinity Western University’s Department of Music invites the public to enjoy the first Chamber of Music Concert of the year on November 28 at 8 p.m. in the Calvin Hanson Chapel, TWU. The free concert will feature TWU brass and woodwind groups, and harpists.

Trinity Western musicians will also set the mood for the Christmas season, as TWU’s Concert Band and Women’s Chorus perform a variety of festive music selections on November 30 in the Calvin Hanson Chapel at TWU, 8 p.m. The Women’s Chorus, under the direction of Dr. Jon Thompson, will unfold the Christmas story through word and song. TWU’s Concert Band, directed by Dr. Paul Hoelzley, will perform classics by composers such as Holst and Vaughan Williams along with traditional Christmas favourites. Admission is by donation. A second TWU Christmas performance will take place on December 1 at Matsqui Centennial Auditorium on South Fraser Way in Abbotsford, 8 p.m.
