Internationally recognized pianist to open 2002 Chapel, Court and Countryside Series at TWU

Event: In the first Chapel, Court and Countryside concert of 2002, Trinity Western University’s department of music invites the public to enjoy the musical talents of internationally recognized and award-winning pianist Henri-Paul Sicsic. The program, titled Romantic Piano for St. Valentine, will include major works of Chopin, Liszt and Albinez.

Sicsic earned top prize at the Royaume de la Musique National Radio Competition in France, first prize in the Grand Prix de la Ville de Nice and was awarded first prize with honors in piano, chamber music as well as conducting by the Nice Conservatory.

A specialist in the romantic repertoire, Sicsic is noted for his musical imagination and communicative gifts. In addition to the best loved works of Chopin and Liszt, Sicsic will perform the works of Albeniz, depicting the dance rhythms of Spain and the Gypsy quarter of Seville.
