TWU choirs set to perform

Event: Trinity Western University invites the community to enjoy two upcoming choir performances featuring some of the University’s most talented voices.

On March 17, TWU’s Masterworks Choir, Concert Choir and Chamber Singers will perform “Israel in Egypt.” Conducted by Wes Janzen, director of choral activities at TWU, this classic work by Handel will include biblical narrative and commentary by well-known author J. I. Packer. The performance will take place at 2:30 p.m. in the Chandos Pattison Auditorium, Surrey. For ticket reservations, call 604-581-2981.

On March 29, in a Vancouver Chamber Choir event, the TWU Chamber Choir and select TWU Masterworks Choir will join the Vancouver Chamber Choir and CBC National Radio Orchestra. Conducted by Jon Washburn, the musicians will perform Beethoven’s “Mass in C” and Brahms’ “Alto Rhapsody,” at 8 p.m. in the Orpheum, Vancouver.
