Check “get degree” off your “bucket list.”

TWU is now offering Adult Degree Completion Programs from its Langley campus

The degree you need, the way you want it!” claims Trinity Western University. The Langley-based university is pleased to offer Adult Degree Completion Programs for bachelor degrees in leadership, social sciences, and psychology through its main campus. The 18-month evening and weekend learning environment is becoming an attractive option to many who have always wanted to complete their undergraduate degree but have been barred by life circumstances or the scheduling of a traditional education.

Adult Degree Completion programs can help professionals wanting to move up in their careers, homemakers who want to re-enter the workforce once finished child-rearing, those that are hoping to make career changes, tradespersons wanting to move into management and for those that have “complete degree” on their “bucket list.”

TWU first offered Adult Degree Completion programs through their Bellingham, Washington campus in 2007. Responding to the demand for this type of flexible, accelerated learning North of the border, TWU began plans almost immediately to offer it at the Langley campus with the first cohort of students to begin in September 2009.

Jonathan Barkowsky, who works with the program, says, “The first course being offered in the fall is the Lifelong Learning Strategies in Leadership. We are encouraging people who are not totally sure about completing their degree to take the first course. It’s a great introduction to the program and to leadership as well as re-introducing adults to university and helping them make that transition.”
