On the evening of April 1st 2009, Trinity Western University's small ensembles invite the public to an evening of Chamber Music. This varied program will include performances by TWU's Piano Trio, Wind Quintet, Guitar Ensemble and Chamber Singers.
Audience members will be treated to selections from the 16th century through to the 20th century, with something for every musical taste. The Chamber Singers will present a variety of vocal works, including composers such as Josquin des Prez, Bach and Vaughn Williams.
The Wind Quintet will perform Nielsen's Kvintet as well as some South American style works by Ravel and Granados. Mendelssohn's D minor Piano Trio will feature pianist Mary Berger, violinist Colin McFarland and cellist Judith Pineda, and the five members of TWU's guitar ensemble will provide a mixture of traditional and contemporary pieces ranging from a Bourée by Bach to a selection from "The Lord of the Rings."
