TWU Concert Band and Orchestra Fall Concert 2009

TWU’s Concert Band and Orchestra will be performing their fall concert November 20th and 27th.

On November 20th and November 27th Trinity Western University’s Concert Band and Orchestra will be performing a fun, light program of music featuring familiar tunes to which audiences will be humming along. The concert will present theme music from "The Lone Ranger" and "Monty Python's Flying Circus", along with the more ethereal beauty of Elgar's Enigma Variations. The concert band will also debut an original arrangement of Sondheim’s “Send in the Clowns.”

Conductor Dr. Jon Thompson says, "This year's Fall Concert is a wonderful compendium of works drawn from the lighter side of the classical repertoire. I hope that this concert will evoke many warm memories for each member of the audience."

The concerts will be held at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Langley and Peace Lutheran Church in Abbotsford respectively.
