The first joint student publication – a precursor to the student newspapers of later years – debuted in the fall of 1962.
The earliest copy of the TJC Pioneer held in the Archives is volume 1 number 2, published on October 26th, 1962. This issue includes reports on special events, an editorial on standards, a selection of chapel quotes (“Let go and let God”), and a brief announcement regarding mid-term exams.
