Arts & Science Building

The ground-breaking ceremony for the Science Building Project took place on April 19, 1964 with the Honourable Leslie Peterson, Minister of Education, presiding.

The building was dedicated just six months later, on October 17, 1964.

The A & S Building provided much-needed space for classrooms, laboratories, faculty offices, and a student lounge. The lower level, finished later, would house the men’s dorms, a snack bar, and a bookstore.
