Dean's Message 

Welcome to the School of Business at Trinity Western University. We hope that our website helps you better understand who we are and why we consider ourselves the premier, Christian business school in Canada.

In 2000, the School of Business became the first professional School at TWU. The mission statement for the School is to "to develop positive, goal oriented Christian business leaders; persons who thoroughly understand biblical stewardship and who apply their knowledge, skill and values to impact the marketplace in dynamic and positive ways." Since the School's inception we have continued to create our programs and develop our students with this mission as our framework. In particular we design every thing with a global context and applied business practices in mind.

Some of the ways that we achieve these goals are:

• Our faculty are not just academics, with academic credentials, we are global business people, who come from many parts of the world and have been successful business owners and leaders. Many of us still maintain active consulting businesses. This allows us to bring real and current business challenges into the classroom. In the upper level classes students regularly get a chance to work on a consulting project as part of a class assignment.
• We offer annual opportunities for students to complete part of their degree while traveling to different parts of the world through a Travel Study program and through exchange programs, where students can complete a semester abroad.
• Students are regularly introduced to senior executives and business owners through guest lecturers or by being mentored by a senior manager at a local firm. A Leadership Advisory Council, comprised of business owners and managers from across Canada, regularly provides direction and advice to the Dean and faculty of the School.

Even though all of these features may indicate our status as a premier business school, the most important aspect of our business school is that it has been framed with Christ as its foundation.
