Call for Papers and Proposals

What to Submit:

  1. Papers. Completed papers are highly preferred but detailed proposals will also be reviewed.
  2. Dissertations (in process or completed) for possible inclusion in the Dissertation Showcase
  3. Workshop proposals.
  4. Poster session proposals.
  5. Best teaching practices proposals.
  6. Panel discussion proposals.

Note: Proposals must clearly detail the following sections:

  • intended purpose
  • method(s) of presentation
  • session highlights
  • learning outcomes of the paper or session
  • selected references or works cited

All submissions must be in docx format and in a disguised version, meaning there is NO reference in the paper to the author(s) or place(s) of employment. Submit as a separate file a cover page which includes the following:

  • Title of paper
  • Name of author(s)
  • Institution
  • Primary author contact information
  • Plus no more than a 40-word abstract of the paper for potential inclusion in the program.

Papers, proposals, and other submissions final deadline is January 31, 2012

Note: Only completed papers will be included in the electronic conference proceedings.

Acceptance notification to authors                                             March 15, 2012
Final papers, abstracts & session summaries due                     May 15, 2012

Note: All presenters for paper sessions must submit a paper and abstract, or PowerPoint and abstract.

For poster sessions, presenters must submit an abstract or an abstract and a paper.

CBFA Conference registration due for presenters                     May 15, 2012

Accepted papers, proposals or other presentations require attendance at the CBFA Conference by at least one of the authors. All presenters and authors attending the CBFA Conference must be registered. The conference proceedings will include an abstract of all papers and session presentations. Short paper summaries and/or outlines of all presentations should be provided by the author at the conference.
