For international or non-native English speaking students:

In cooperation with the ESLI Pre-Masters program at TWU, this process will provide students with a conditional admission to the MBA program and then with the necessary English language training and opportunity to complete the other application requirements for the program.

  1. Application: Complete the ESLI application.
  2. Fee: Include an application fee of $140.00 (non-refundable) with the application.
  3. References: Request two confidential reference letters, one of which must be from a senior officer in your organization familiar with your character, work performance, and leadership potential.

  5. English Requirements: A TOEFL or IELTS score is required for direct admission consideration.  However, applicants who would like to enrol in ESL coursework prior to entering the MBA program may receive a conditional admission to the MBA program, without submitting a TOEFL or IELTS score.  In this case, English language proficiency will be assessed upon arrival at TWU and students will be placed into the appropriate ESL or Pre-Masters class.  However, applicants with an iBT score of 88 with at least 21 in each category (or an equivalent) are eligible for immediate entry into the ESLI Pre-Masters program.
  6. Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT): During the final semester of the ESLI Pre-Masters program, you will be required to write the GMAT exam.
  7. Entrance Interview: During the final semester of the ESLI Pre-Masters program, students must successfully complete an interview (which may occur by telephone conference). Upon successful completion of the Pre-Masters program and GMAT exam, students will enter the MBA program.
