Transition Programs

Retention

Student retention is a by-product of a supportive learning environment. The University employs an assessment and research model to help the administration better understand the academic and social needs of students so it can help improve the student experience. Student retention efforts include a student orientation transition course, MYTW 101; early warning systems that help new students who may not be adjusting well academically; the Marlie Snider Collegium Program, our commuter home-away-from-home experience; the Learning Resource Centre; Academic Advising; and the Choosing to Succeed and Peer Transition Coaching programs.
