Graduation Requirements

A participant who completes all requirements described on the program checklist is permitted to graduate. Graduation occurs during the first October/November after completion of all required course work and the Leadership Integration Project. These must be completed by the end of August to be a full participant in the October/November graduation.

Foundational Courses: 15 sem. hrs. comprising
4 courses (12 sem. hrs) on campus in either July or August sessions
2 courses online (6 sem. hrs) in summer compacted format or fall quarter.

Online Specialization Stream: 15 sem. hrs. (offerings cycle over two years)

Leadership Integration Project: 3 sem. hrs. (or a Major Paper option in special circumstances.

Every learner admitted joins a cohort of learners which is assigned an EDOG (expected date of graduation) for either 26 months or 36 months completion. Continuation fees will be applied to learners who have not completed their courses and Leadership Integration Project or Major Paper after three years.

Notes:

  1. All students must take the four on-campus program courses. They are not delivered online.
  2. To have degrees designated with a specialty, students must choose one of the specializations and complete 12 sem. hrs. in that stream.

Specific To M.A. in Leadership (Business Stream) in Mandarin

A total of 36 credit hours are required for graduation. To graduate, all course work and the capstone Leadership Integration Project must be completed, with a minimum overall (cumulative) GPA of 3.00. Courses for which the final grade falls below a B- will NOT be counted towards graduation.

In order to be eligible for graduation, the student must complete an Application for Graduation by August 31st of the year in which the student intends to graduate. Once the complete application has been received, a degree audit will be performed. This audit will confirm whether the student has met all the graduation requirements. The program office will advise the student of the audit result.

Foundational Courses:

12 sem. hrs. comprised of 4 courses (12 sem. hrs) (mixed-mode format)

3 sesm. hrs. of LDRS 502 (residential on TWU campus)

Online Specialization Stream: 15 sem. hrs.

Scholarly Inquiry Course: 3 sem. hrs.

Leadership Integration Project: 3 sem. hrs. (final capstone project)
