Students who are not residents of Canada and who require financial assistance to attend TWU must arrange for such assistance in their country of origin before arrival in Canada. Although TWU permits non-Canadian students to compete for scholarships, it must be stressed that non-Canadian students should not predicate their tuition and living expense estimates upon these sources. Any student may seek employment in Canada but the employer must receive approval from the Canada Employment Centre (CEC) to hire a foreign worker before the student can obtain an Employment Authorization. Only those who have skills that are in demand will be approved by CEC. Such students are expected and required by federal law to have sufficient funds guaranteed for their education prior to arrival in Canada.back to top
