Area of Expertise: Cross-cultural communication -- worked abroad (Africa 7 years), and travelled to 35+ countries. Teach annually in Guatemala and Kenya. Courses cross-list as Linguistics for ESL certification and in the MA TESOL program, or cross-list as Anthropology for International Studies or Intercultural Religious Studies majors. Leadership communication -- teaching and training of professionals globally.

Notable Accomplishments and Experiences

  • 2005 Dean's Innovative Teaching Award. 
  • Program development for online courses, specifically Anthropology. 
  • Development of successful Travel Study programs focusing on the developing world, notably Guatemala and Kenya.
