(ACTS); D.S.L in Strategic Leadership (Regent) Doug Atha is a strategic leadership practitioner who uses his expertise to assist churches and non-profit organizations revisit and develop effective mission, vision, and values strategies to help them turn the corner toward growth and revitalization when faced with decline in attendance and/or other organizational challenges. In 2003 Dr. Atha was awarded The Luther J. Stallings, Jr. and Elizabeth A. Stallings Memorial Scholarship - for outstanding leadership and community service and nominated to Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities while attending Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA. He has served as a facilitator to high school students and community leaders in B.C. and served one term (2000-2003) as Tribunal Chairperson for the British Columbia Government Ministry of Social Development and Economic Security and as chair for the Salmo and Area Community Response Network - Salmo, B.C. Dr. Atha has also written for various community papers throughout B.C. and produced the cable access channel program 'Cross Files' airing over the Kootenay Cable System network in 1996 and 1997. In addition to his position with Trinity Western's MAL program, Dr. Atha also serves as Senior Pastor for Evangel Assembly in Grande Prairie, AB. Recent Publications
