Biography
David Erickson is the Assistant Dean and Assistant Professor in the School of Human Kinetics at Trinity Western University and serves as the Physical Education Coordinator. He has over 30 years of teaching experience in both public and private school education including a variety of educational capacities: teacher, physical education specialist, vice principal, school principal, and university professor. He has extensive experience in coaching youth sports in both school and community programs. David is a member of the nationally recognized Canadian Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (CAHPERD) and contributes to the editorial board for the Physical Health and Education Journal. David has participated as part of a B.C. Ministry of Education Curriculum Review Committee for the revision of the K-7 physical education curriculum. David's background and research interests are in the areas of leadership, sport, and physical education instruction.
