Jef Gibbons

Biography

Jef Gibbons is a composer/engineer based in Surrey, BC.  He owns and operates Blueshift Productions and offers many services including Soundtrack Composition, Song Arrangement, Production, Recording, Voice-over recording, Sound Design, and Composition for Film or Commercials.

Jef has been recording for the past 12 years and completed a Bachelor of Arts: Music Major, as well as an Audio Engineering Diploma. He is currently the instructor of Digital Recording and Digital Music Composition at Trinity Western University.

Jef has been the personal composer/ sound designer for acclaimed director Robin Webb for the past 5 years. Robin’s movies have recently won awards such as Best Picture and Best International Feature at the NY Independent International Film Festival.

Jef  has been producing children’s music for the past two years, and has co-written over 200 pieces for an ESL curriculum in Japan.  

Jef is currently writing music for animated cartoons, as well as producing the music and sound for a soon to be released XBOX video game.
