Maryann Jantzen Ph.D. (Cand.)Assistant Professor; Writing Centre Co-DirectorDepartment: English Email: jantzen@twu.ca Area of Expertise: First-Year English Education: B.A. (Trinity Western University); M.A. (Simon Fraser University) Maryann Jantzen completed her B.A. at Trinity Western University and her M.A. at Simon Fraser University. She is currently a doctoral candidate at Simon Fraser University. Her doctoral thesis is entitled, “Mediating Isolation and Assimilation: Mennonites Righting Canadian.” She divides her time between teaching courses in the English Department and co-directing the Writing Centre. Her research areas include contemporary Canadian literature (especially Mennonite works), feminist and post-colonial literature and theory, and auto/biographical writing. She has published on Mennonite Canadian writers and has co-edited two forthcoming volumes: Half in the Sun, an anthology of British Columbia Mennonite writers; and Villages on a Window, a collection of biographical essays on Mennonite pioneers in the Fraser Valley. | ![]() |
