Research: Dr. Self is interested in culture change with an emphasis on loving care in healthcare settings, leadership formation, and strategic planning. The title of her Ph.D. dissertation was "Love and Organizational Leadership: An Intertexture Analysis of 1 Corinthians 13.

Education: B.S. in Physical Therapy: University of Tennessee, 1972; M.A. in Leadership from Trinity Western University, 2003; Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership, Regent University, 2009.
