Silvia Brynjolfson, M.A., M. Div.

Sessional Assistant Professor in Spanish

Silvia Brynjolfson grew up in Santa Fe, Argentina. She received a B.Th. from the Instituto Bíblico in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and a M.Div. from Regent College in Vancouver, B.C. For two years, she and her husband taught at the Centro Bíblico in Bata, Equatorial Guinea, West Central Africa. This was followed by teaching positions for WEC International in Hamilton, Ontario, and at the Gateway Cross-Cultural Training Centre in Langley, B.C. For five years, Silvia taught Introduction to Spanish in the Continuing Education program of Kwantlen College, Langley, B.C., before coming to TWU. She obtained her M.A. in Spanish Language and Culture from the University of Salamanca, Spain, and her M.A. in Spanish Literature from the University of British Columbia. She is presently doing her Doctorate in Modern Languages (Spanish/Italian) at Middlebury College in Vermont, USA.

Silvia heads up the Spanish program at TWU, consisting of a minor and a concentration in Spanish.
