Part-time Instructor in French

Ghislaine Rideout was born in France, and grew up near Nevers. She received a BTS (brevet de technicien supérieur) in computing science / management (informatique de gestion) in Nice, and a Master’s degree in Economic and Social Administration from the University of Marseille. She also received a diploma in teaching from the IUFM (Institut Universitaire de Formation des Maîtres) in Aix en Provence. For 15 years, she worked as an accountant and was in charge of personnel services in different business organizations. Upon coming to Canada, she taught high school French at the Traditional Learning Academy, in Coquitlam, B.C., followed by two years of introductory French at Simon Fraser University. At TWU, she began by teaching a Conversational and Written French course in 2005, and now teaches most introductory and intermediate level French courses.
