
Trinity Western University offers a Graduate Certificate in Leadership - an abbreviated form of the Master of Arts in Leadership for students whose time and financial resources are at a premium. The Certificate can be used to ladder into the full MA program, should students decide to do so. The Certificate is offered using the blended model of short, on-campus residencies combined with online learning that allows the student to study while they work.
The Graduate Certificate in Leadership is an accredited two-year program available to those in the general, business, education, and Christian ministry streams. The program consists of 18 credit hours: two on campus courses and four online stream specific electives. The Certificate is designed for individuals who have previously completed an undergraduate degree and have three years of related experience.
The Graduate Certificate in Leadership will help you develop the leadership abilities that are coveted in today's organizations. The Certificate is designed to enable you to immediately apply transformational servant leadership principles to your team or company, regardless of your position within the organization.

The cost of the Graduate Certificate in Leadership for students beginning summer 2010 is approximately $683.00 CDN per credit hour.

Specialized leadership courses are taught online over a ten week period: September - November, December - February, and March - May. Students in the Certificate program study two online courses per academic year, for a total of four courses over the two year period. The Certificate allows students to specialize in one of three streams:

The purpose of this certificate is to provide current and prospective school leaders such as principals, assistant principals, and curriculum coordinators with courses that teach them to apply the paradigm of transformational servant leadership to real classroom and educational situations.
Christian Ministry Certificate Stream
Provides a balanced perspective of leadership, and the special personal and organizational challenges a leader faces in a Christian ministry organization. Students will examine the interface between the organization and its broader socio-cultural environment, including leading change for improved impacts.
General Certificate Stream
Students in the general stream are allowed to customize their program to meet their particular education goals. Students are required to take LDRS 500 and LDRS 503, but they may choose their online electives from any stream including non-profit and health care streams
