Faculty Dr. Don Page's publicationServant Empowered Leadership
This academic year marks the publication of Dr. Don Page's highly anticipated book Servant Empowered Leadership: A Hands-On Guide to Transforming You and Your Organization. This comprehensive guide focuses not only on providing Biblical examples of leadership, but also on practical application, so that the paradigm of Servant Leadership can become a reality for organizations. Those familiar with Pages' work know that he has spent his life testing the principles of Servant Empowered Leadership. Whether working as a policy analyst and advisor in the Foreign Affairs Department of the Federal Government, a consultant to corporations, or launching a Master of Arts in Leadership degree program, Page has always married example with application

Page believes the leaders are not born, but made. Thus, his work targets those who are currently in leadership or considering leadership and who wonder, "How can I lead like Jesus?"  In his comments about his present volume, Page notes, "What sets this book apart from so many other books on leadership in general, and Christian leadership more specifically, is that half of each chapter is devoted to how to make the subject of the chapter a reality in an organization."

In a recent interview with the television show100 Huntley Street, Page defined a servant leader as "One who prefers to serve rather then be served. Someone who says, 'My job is to invest in the people and the organization, to make them successful' rather than, 'They are here to make me successful.'" He further observes that companies who embraced the paradigm of Servant Leadership are exceptionally more stable and profitable, lacking in turnover and evidencing as much as a 24% profit.  These are only two examples of the impact of the paradigm of Servant Leadership. Servant Empowered Leadership transforms the individual and the organization.
Dr. Page is currently Trinity Western University's Senior Fellow and Professor Emeritus in the Master of Arts in Leadership program. For ordering information please see: www.servantempoweredleadership.com.
