  • Subscribe to the paradigm of Transformational Servant Leadership

    • The leadership program does not require applicants to subscribe to or practice the Christian faith.  Applicants should be aware that Jesus’ teaching and life are the chosen frames of reference for the program. The key requirement of successful applicants is that they subscribe to the philosophy and practice of transformational servant leadership. M.A. in Leadership at Trinity Western University’s understanding of transformational servant leadership is that the best organizational results are achieved when leaders serve employees by valuing and respecting them. This involves appreciating each employee's unique competencies and skills, organizing teams to best use these competencies and skills, and empowering them to participate meaningfully in the decision-making process. If this is in line with your way of thinking, we would love to hear from you.
  • English Language Proficiency

    • If you are a non-native (English) speaker, it is essential that you demonstrate an ability to meet English language proficiency requirements. Applicants should have a minimum TOEFL score of 260 CBT (computer-based test) or 105 IBT (internet-based test). If your score is lower, you will be required to take the supplementary ESL program offered by Trinity Western University to improve your English fluency. For more information, email the Graduate Studies Coordinator: SGSCoordinator@twu.ca.
    • If your score is below 260 CBT or 105 IBT, you are not encouraged to apply to the MAL program.
