TWU's Master of Arts in Leadership (MAL) program teaches a paradigm of transformational servant leadership (TSL). Transformation refers to how the leader, the led, and the entire organizational culture is transformed for maximum productivity and success, by leaders who are people focused. Rather than seeking self-empowerment, our graduates understand the power of serving, developing, and valuing people. The MAL program emphasizes TSL modeling through organizational leadership research, exciting inter-disciplinary learning, practical application to the needs of the workplace, and participative teaching from recognized professionals. Students find that our principles of leadership are readily applicable to their organizations. Many critics believe that the global economic crisis is really a crisis of leadership. We train students to be ethical, effective, and productive leaders, answering the need for this type of leadership during times of uncertainty and change.
