Program Description
The Trinity Western University MA TESOL program focuses on personal and professional development from two perspectives. First, the emphasis is on an approach to language instruction that acknowledges the importance of this discipline to serving others around the world and working in communities of learning. Second, the curriculum is forward-looking by preparing instructors who are competent in educational technology, effective teaching strategies, course design, and program implementation. Though the instructors teach from a Christian perspective, students of all faiths and beliefs are welcome in the program.
Using a collaborative instructional system, the online MA TESOL at TWU is designed as a part-time program to be completed in 2.5 to 3 years. It meets the needs of those professionals seeking to further their professional development while balancing their careers and personal lives.
The TWU Resident MA TESOL (RMT) program is a 12-month program, beginning every September. It is a good fit for students who are available to study full-time on campus, and is ideal for Canadian and international students seeking to further their professional development through small group collaboration and focused studies.
