Program Features
Collaboration. Each module centers around a set of research projects. Working in teams, students research and then report to the rest of the cohort on their findings
Online Instruction. For those students who choose the online MA TESOL, orientation and one class are held on campus in the first summer. The rest of the program is done online.
Resident Intensive Program. The format of the Resident program is basically, one course per month. Typically, students are actively involved in program activities six hours per day, five days per week, with additional readings and research done outside of class. It is a "full time Job" for 12 months. Students generally live either on campus or in close proximity.
What Students Say...
- "The interaction between students increases the learning potential exponentially as we share research findings with each other."
Ed, Online MA TESOL alumni
- "The collaboration [components of the program] creates an interactive community which results in MORE dialogue than in a face-to-face classroom setting."
Mike, Online MA TESOL alumni
- "I think working in the collaborative model, in which we are reading each other's work, developing our own written section, receiving feedback from others, while referencing online and text materials, has elevated the quality of the research writing immensely."
Cheryl, Online MA-TESOL alumni
