The Certificate in Applied Counselling Program offered at Trinity Western University was created for the Korean population and is presented in its entirety in the Korean language. It is designed to equip the Korean community with trained professional counselors to meet the rising needs for clinical counseling within the community.
The program is a rigorous one year certificate consisting of 10 courses and provides the students with core essential counseling theories and hands-on experiences through practicum and internship. Designed to accommodate working adults, the classes are conveniently offered on evenings and weekends. Homework, assignments, and testing are regular requirements in this undergraduate credit-free University certificate program, and student assessment and grading is an important feature as we seek to professionally prepare students for entry into the counseling vocation. Adults interested in pursuing the program for personal growth and development reasons are encouraged to apply as well.
