Spirituality, Health and Nursing

Spirituality and health is a research focus of the TWU Nursing faculty. Two recently funded projects will add to the growing body of scholarship by TWU professors in this field. Dr. Reimer Kirkham leads a team funded by Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada on the project "The Negotiation of Religious and Spiritual Plurality in Health Care". Dr. Pesut heads a complementary project "A Christian Theoretical Framing for the Concepts of Religion, Spirituality and Culture in Healthcare" funded by the Christian Coalition of Colleges and Universities. Read about these projects, as well as an annotated bibliography representative of the faculty's work in the area of spirituality and health, below.
