Fiddler on the Roof
Doesn’t anyone have to ask a father anymore?
In pre-revolutionary Russia with political tensions rising, what is there for a poor community of Jewish villagers to cling to? Tradition! Without it, “our lives would be as shaky as a fiddler on the roof,” says Tevye. But his own daughters belong to a new world. They’d rather marry for love than consult a matchmaker…or a father.
First performed by TWU students 25 years ago, this Tony Award-winning musical returns in celebration of TWU’s 50th Anniversary. With beloved Broadway numbers like To Life, Matchmaker Matchmaker, and If I Were A Rich Man, this story of love and family will steal your heart…all over again. Celebrate tradition with us!
