Why Educational Leadership?

The MA in Educational Leadership equips professionals with the skills to adapt to the education sector’s growing complexity and changing priorities.

As organizations become increasingly resourceful, the need for effective leaders has also intensified.

Trinity Western’s MA in Educational Leadership equips professionals with the skills to adapt to the education sector’s growing complexity and changing priorities, by offering a leadership model that emphasizes people and teamwork – a model with proven organizational effectiveness in the education sphere.

The  MAEL program is recognized by the BC Ministry of Advanced Education and the TQS (Teachers' Qualification Service) for salary upgrades. Completion of MAEL does not confer a teaching certificate.

Combining online learning year-round and classroom modules in the summer or January, Trinity Western’s MA Lead program offers top-level leadership training in a dynamic and innovative format. Multiple options are offered to suit your individual needs. Complete this 34-credit degree program in 24-29 months through our part-time option, or finish in 13-17 months with our full-time degree option. A 13-month graduate certificate option (15 credits) is also offered to students whose time and finances are at a premium, but could be interested in eventually laddering their certificate into a full degree.
