Facilities

The chemistry department of Trinity Western University is housed in the south wing of the Neufeld Science Centre, which has been home to the department since it's construction in 1994.

The facilities include two large laboratories where most of the lab courses are taught, as well as a prep room, chemical storage room and two instrument rooms. In addition there is a smaller research laboratory reserved for faculty and senior student projects.

Through the various lab courses offered, our undergraduate students receive "hands-on" experience on a range of modern instrumental including GC-MS, UV/Vis and Atomic Absorption, FT-IR and FT-NMR spectrometry. In addition, the department has advanced "molecular modeling" software, which is integrated into a number of courses.
