VANCOUVER – Trinity Western’s Alison Jackson (Vermilion, Alta.) and Joel De Schiffart (Nanaimo, B.C.) both hit lofty standards in Sunday’s 10 kilometre Vancouver Sun Run, with Jackson finishing first amongst females in her age group (19-25) and De Schiffart crossing the line as the top junior-aged (16-18) competitor.

LANGLEY, British Columbia – The Trinity Western track and field and cross country teams added a major piece to this year’s recruiting puzzle as Spartans coach Laurier Primeau officially announced the signing of middle distance runner Regan Yee (South Hazelton, B.C.) Wednesday. Yee leads a group of three athletes who recently joined the Spartans, which also includes sprinter Rachel Shuttleworth (Surrey, B.C.) and high jumper Katie Maryschuk (Winfield, B.C.).

EDMONTON – The Trinity Western track and field teams will open the CIS championships Thursday with a distinct medal haul on their minds. After collecting a school-record 12 medals at the Canada West championships, the Spartans have positioned themselves well to better last year’s two-medal performance.

This past fall, the TWU track and field program took a big step forward in terms of their pole vaulting future with the installation of a pole vault box inside the Spartans on-campus David E.
