RATZLAFF LEADS SPARTANS IN WESTERN WASHINGTON CLASSIC
BELLINGHAM, Washington – Trinity Western’s top female runner Marissa Ratzlaff once again led the Spartans cross country charge Saturday as she was the team's top finisher, crossing the line 54th in the 118-runner field at the Western Washington Classic.
Ratzlaff finished the women’s 6km route in a time of 24:34.6 racing against runners from 12 different schools including Victoria, Alaska Anchorage, Alaska Fairbanks and Seattle Pacific.
On the men’s side, the Spartans top runner was Mihai Prajea who finished the 10km route in a time of 35:06.8, which was good for 68th overall.
As a team, the Spartans finished 12th in their first major longer distance cross country meet this year.
The Spartans next race is in Aldergrove where they will compete in the B.C. Athletics Club Championships.
