LANGLEY, British Columbia – Trinity Western goalie Harry Fredeman (Ladner, B.C.) will be playing hockey in Sweden next year as the Spartans netminder recently signed a professional contract with Division 2 club IFK Ore, which is based in Furudal.

LANGLEY, British Columbia – Ryan Bakken (Langley) will be coming home next fall and returning to play at the Langley Events Centre as the former Langley Rivermen (BCHL) captain will join the Trinity Western men’s hockey team this fall. SPARTANS BESTED BY SELKIRK IN CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES

CASTLEGAR, British Columbia – The Trinity Western men’s hockey team saw its season come to an end in Game 2 of the BCIHL championship series as the Spartans lost to Selkirk in 5-1 Saturday and, having lost Friday’s series-opener, watched the Saints capture the league title.

LANGLEY, British Columbia – Trinity Western’s JP Villeneuve (Georgetown, Ont.) made program history Tuesday as he became the first Spartan to be named BCIHL MVP (co-winner, along with Selkirk’s Logan Proulx) as well as being named Rookie of the Year while Barret Kropf also joined in on the groundbreaking front as he became the first TWU coach to win BCIHL Coach of the Year (co-winner with Selkirk’s Jeff Dubois) honours.
