SPARTANS HOCKEY RELEASES SCHEDULE
LANGLEY, British Columbia – It’s been 20 years since the Trinity Western University men’s hockey team sported the Spartans uniform but now the wait is just a few weeks.
The Spartans released their schedule for the 2010-11 season Wednesday and on the docket are 24 BCIHL (British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League) regular season games and one exhibition game against each of Western Washington (09/25) and Eastern Washington (10/08).
Trinity Western will play its first game of the regular season Friday, September 24 at 7:00 p.m. as they host Fraser Valley at the Langley Events Centre.
The Spartans will go on to face the other six BCIHL teams four times each throughout the season.
All home games will be played at the Langley Events Centre.

Trinity Western University, located in Langley, B.C., is a not-for-profit Christian liberal arts university enrolling over 4,000 students this year. The British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League was created in 2005 with the purpose of providing student athletes with opportunities to achieve academic success while competing at a high-level of intercollegiate hockey.
Currently, seven teams – University of the Fraser Valley, Okanagan College, Selkirk College, Simon Fraser University, Thompson Rivers University, Trinity Western University and the University of Victoria. Each BCIHL team plays a 24 game league schedule that is comprised of two 2-game home-and-away series with each team. The top five teams from the league's regular season then face-off in the BC Intercollegiate Hockey League Championships, a round-robin format tournament held each year in March.
