CASTLEGAR, British Columbia
– The Trinity Western University Spartans dominated play, and outshot Selkirk College 40-28, but the Saints came out on top with a 4-2 victory Friday night in Castlegar, B.C.

The Spartans opened the scoring at 1:48 of the first period when TWU goalie, who was playing out, scored his first goal on a nicely set up play from Brandon Long and Samuel Gemmell. “It was a great goal. Twenty-five seconds later the Saints made it 2-1 on a goal by Burhan Pourmokhtari. Selkirk tied the game on a power play goal by Caleb Georgetti at 4:21. Devon Nazaroff got the game winner at 1:03 to make it 3-2 to end the second period.

The Saints got the insurance goal at 3:06 of the final period on a goal by Brendan Madlung.
