LANGLEY, British Columbia – Trinity Western men’s basketball coach Scott Allen is calling his 2014 recruiting class the “best ever,” as the Spartans officially announced this year’s incoming group Monday.

LANGLEY, British Columbia – Trinity Western men’s basketball forward Denny McDonald (Mississauga, Ont.) was named the Canada West 3rd Star of the Week after he finished the year with a regular season career-high 30 points and 14 rebounds in the Spartans final game of the 2013-14 campaign.

ABBOTSFORD, British Columbia – Fourth year forward Denny McDonald (Mississauga, Ont.) was spectacular as he finished with a career best 30 points and 14 rebounds, but it was not enough for the Spartans as Trinity Western lost their final Canada West conference game 83-78 to the Fraser Valley Cascades Saturday night at UFV in Abbotsford, B.C.

LANGLEY, British Columbia – The Trinity Western’s men’s basketball team’s playoffs hopes are still alive, but, with two games left in the regular season, it’s a do or die situation as the Spartans will need back-to-back wins over Fraser Valley in their home-and-home series starting Friday at 6 p.m. at the Langley Events Centre. The back end of the series will be played Saturday at UFV at 7 p.m.
