The Spartans lost ten players from last years Canada West Championship and CIS Bronze medalist team, which would normally mean that the following year would be one to rebuild. But do to injuries last season a few rookies got valuable playing time, so they come into this season as experienced players rather then players who would be seeing their first time on the pitch. This, combined with a solid recruiting class, allows TWU Head Coach Al Alderson to be cautiously optimistic about defending their Canada West crown. |

TWU is ranked third in Canada trailing only defending CIS national champion UBC and CIS silver medalists the University of Toronto. The Spartans finished the 2005-06 season with a Canada West Championship and a CIS Bronze medal. |
