Bad weather forces schedule, venue changes
VANCOUVER (CIS) - Inclement weather has forced tournament officials to revise the competition schedule at the 2007 CIS men's soccer championship, hosted by the University of British Columbia
The announcement was made late Wednesday night following a meeting of the championship technical committee.
The eight-team national tournament kicks off on Thursday, November 8 with four quarter-final match-ups.
In total, eight of the 11 games were moved up, including the first three quarter-finals on opening day and the championship final on Sunday, which will start at 1:30 p.m. Pacific Time, 90 minutes earlier than originally scheduled. However, all games remain on their scheduled dates.
Some of the contests have also been moved to new venues.
A revised schedule is included below, with game venues in brackets.

Thursday, Nov. 8
10:30 am (was 11:00 am) Quarter-final #1: Trinity Western vs. Western Ontario (Point Grey - Turf)
1:00 pm (was 1:30 pm) Quarter-final #2: Cape Breton vs. Laval (Point Grey - Turf)
1:30 pm (was 4:30 pm) Quarter-final #3: York vs. Saint Mary's (Wolfson Field, UBC)
7:00 pm (no change) Quarter-final #4: UBC vs. Montreal (TBird Stadium, UBC)
Friday, Nov. 9
11:00 am (no change) Consolation #1: Loser QF #1 vs. Loser QF #2 (Point Grey - Turf)
1:30 pm (no change) Consolation #2: Loser QF #3 vs. Loser QF #4 (Point Grey - Turf)
Saturday, Nov. 10
10:00 am (was 11:30 am) 5th place game (Lett Field, UBC)
11:00 am (was 2:00 pm) Semi-final #1: Winner QF #1 vs. Winner QF #2 (Wolfson Field, UBC)
1:30 pm (was 5:00 pm) Semi-final #2: Winner QF #3 vs. Winner QF #4 (Wolfson Field, UBC)
Note: Point Grey is a back up field for the semi-finals. Game times would be 4:30 pm / 7:00 pm. A decision will be made on Friday regarding Saturday's semi-finals.
Sunday, Nov. 11
