Bad weather forces schedule, venue changes

VANCOUVER (CIS) - Inclement weather has forced tournament officials to revise the competition schedule at the 2007 CIS men's soccer championship, hosted by the University of British Columbia

The announcement was made late Wednesday night following a meeting of the championship technical committee.

The eight-team national tournament kicks off on Thursday, November 8 with four quarter-final match-ups.

In total, eight of the 11 games were moved up, including the first three quarter-finals on opening day and the championship final on Sunday, which will start at 1:30 p.m. Pacific Time, 90 minutes earlier than originally scheduled. However, all games remain on their scheduled dates.
