TWU’s ANDREW KOWAN ADDED TO FISU TEAM

LANGLEY, British Columbia – FISU men’s soccer head coach Mike Mosher announced that Trinity Western University keeper Andrew Kowan has been added to the Summer Universiade men’s soccer roster. Kowan will replace Montreal keeper Gerardo Argento, who will not be able to compete due to injury, at the 25th Summer Universiade set to take place July 1-12, 2009, in Belgrade, Serbia.

TWU's Patrick Kelly has stepped up his play to start the 2008 season. The always-solid defender has been moved to the Spartans midfield this season and the dividends are already starting to show. The native of Cochrane, Alta. was instrumental in the Spartans' two wins this past weekend, 4-1 over Lethbridge (0-2-0) and 1-0 over Calgary (0-2-0).

LANGLEY, British Columbia - Trinity Western University men’s soccer team and head coach Al Alderson are pleased to announce that Tyler Baldock (Surrey, B.C.) has signed on to be part of the Spartans coaching staff. Baldock’s primary duties will be as goal keeper coach, but he will also assist with the training and conditioning for all the men’s soccer players.
TWU MATCH AGAINST OREGON STATE CANCELED

EUGENE, Ore. - Due to new NCAA regulations the men's soccer match between Trinity Western University and Oregon State University has been canceled. The Spartans will now have a scrimmage match against Northwest Christian University from Eugene, Ore.
