LANGLEY, British Columbia – After yet another outstanding year for the Spartans in the sporting arena and with the 2010-11 season just over a week away from being officially put to bed, we take a look back at each team and the season they had competing for Spartans Athletics and a look forward into what the future might hold in 2011-12.

Men's Soccer - date: Oct. 13th, 2010
LANGLEY, British Columbia – The Spartans men's soccer team (3-2-3) wraps up its regular season home schedule this weekend as they play No. 9 ranked Calgary (5-1-2) Friday and Lethbridge (1-6-1) Saturday. The Spartans are coming off a 2-2 draw with UBC last Friday and are hoping to build upon a solid performance.
TWU's Parker named Canada West Athlete of the Week

LANGLEY, British Columbia –Tuesday morning Canada West announced that TWU forward Danfi Parker and Fraser Valley midfielder Ellen Kuyer were named Canada West male and Female Athletes of the Week.

Men's Soccer - date: Oct. 6th, 2010
LANGLEY, British Columbia – The Spartans men's soccer team returns to the pitch Friday night looking for a little redemption on a pair of fronts. Not only did TWU lose 4-0 in its most recent game Saturday against Alberta – the worst home loss in TWU men’s soccer history – but they also will be hoping to respond to a 3-0 loss suffered against the cross-town Thunderbirds in their 2010 season opener. Kickoff is a 7:00 p.m. at Rogers Park.

Men's Soccer - date: Sep. 29th, 2010
LANGLEY, British Columbia – The men's soccer team returns home, after a weekend in Alberta that saw them draw both Lethbridge (1-1) and Calgary (0-0), to play two of the top teams in Canada West. Saskatchewan (3-1-2) comes to Rogers Park Friday at 7:00 p.m. while Alberta, which is ranked No. 4 in Canada and has a record of 5-1-0, is in Langley, B.C. Saturday at 7:00 p.m.

Men's Soccer - date: Sep. 22nd, 2010
LANGLEY, British Columbia – The men's soccer team is back in the Canada West mix after picking up all six points last weekend in wins over Victoria (2-0) and Fraser Valley (3-0). The Spartans will now go on the road for a pair of games in Lethbridge Saturday and Calgary Sunday hoping to improve upon their 2-1-0 record.
TWU's Fink named Canada West Athlete of the Week

LANGLEY, British Columbia –Tuesday morning Canada West announced that TWU goal keeper Andrew Fink and Saskatchewan striker Elizabeth Hudon were named Canada West male and Female Athletes of the Week.

LANGLEY, British Columbia – In men’s soccer action the No. 7 Spartans welcomes the University of Victoria Vikes and the University of the Fraser Valley Cascades to Rogers Field. Both matches are scheduled for a 7:15 p.m. kick-off. The Spartans (0-1) season opener on the road was a disappointing match against cross-town rivals, the UBC Thunderbirds, who shut out the Spartans 3-0 Friday night in Vancouver.

LANGLEY, British Columbia – Tonight the No. 3 Trinity Western University men’s soccer team will be traveling to the No. 9 University of British Columbia to open the 2010 Canada West season. Tonight’s match will be the 23 match in history of the two programs, with the Spartans hold the career edge at 9-8-5.

‘FAB FIVE’ ADDED TO SPARTANS SOCCER

LANGLEY, British Columbia – Trinity Western University head coach Pat Rohla announced five recruit signings today to refurbish the 2009 CIS bronze medalist Spartans. Joining TWU for the 2010-11 season are Jerome Lou, Denny Serofovic, Evan Lowther, Adam Plantinga and Cody Strelau.
