But while Trinity Western put together an impressive regular season – finishing third in Canada West with an 8-4-2 record and being ranked in the CIS Top 10 twice – it all came to a heartbreaking end when the Spartans saw their hopes of a berth in the national championship dashed when they lost to UBC on penalty kicks in the Final Four semifinal. |
