Joel Jansen

Assistant Coach

Joel is in his fourth year as assistant coach with the Spartans men’s volleyball team. Jansen has been actively involved with volleyball since he
was one of the best high school setters in British Columbia. After graduating from Fraser Valley Christian high school in 1995 Jansen went to school at NCAA Division I Long Beach State. After a red-shirt season he transferred to York University in Toronto, where he played for two seasons from 1996-1998. After his two seasons at York, Jansen took his game overseas to play professionally in the Netherlands. After a one year in the Netherlands, Jansen returned to British Columbia to play for the Spartans, where he played alongside Josephson from 1999-2002.
