Meehan Leads Spartans Over WolfPack
TWU sweeps Thompson Rivers 3-0

KAMLOOPS, British Columbia - Middle Chris Meehan (Clearwater) led the Spartans with nine kills and seven blocks as the Trinity Western University men’s volleyball team swept the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 25-13) Friday night in Kamloops, B.C. The win moves the Spartans to 9-2, while the loss drops the WolfPack to 1-10.

In addition to Meehan the Spartans had strong performances from Steve Rogalsky with eight kills and three blocks and setter Josh Howatson (Victoria) with 24 set assists and one service ace. Darcy Barisoff and BJ Peters led the WolfPack with seven kills each.

Match Notes: TWU had 32 kills (45%), while TRU had 29 kills (5%)...the Spartans had 11 team blocks, while the WolfPack had two team blocks...TRU had five aces, while TWU had four aces...
