TWU SOCCER AT CANADA WEST PLAY-OFFS

LANGLEY, British Columbia - The Canada West Soccer Championships will begin this week for the Trinity Western University men's and women's soccer teams. The women's championships are being held at the University of British Columbia, while the Spartan men are playing at TWU.

The women begin play on Thursday, Nov. 1 against the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns. Match time on UBC's Lett field is set for 1:30 p.m. The men begin play on Friday, Nov. 2 against the University of Alberta Golden Bears. Match time at TWU's Spartan Field is set for 6:30 p.m.

The full schedule at both venues is as follows.

Women's Soccer at UBC
Matches to be played at Thunderbird Stadium and Lett Fields. Should the weather prove the fields to be unplayable, the back up facility is the Burnaby Lake Sports Complex, which has field turf.

11 a.m. Game 1 - Lett Field: #3 Manitoba vs. #6 Alberta
1:30 p.m. Game 2 - Lett Field: #4 Trinity Western vs. #5 Lethbridge

Saturday, November 3, 2007
11 a.m. Game 3 - Stadium: #1 UBC vs. lowest remaining seed
1:30 p.m. Game 4 - Stadium: #2 Victoria vs. highest remaining seed

Sunday, November 4, 2007
1:30 p.m. Game 5 - Stadium: Gold Medal Game

-As per Canada West Playing Regulations, a bronze medal game will not be played as Canada West has two (not three) berths to the CIS National Championships.
