Do you like to watch sports?  Are you in need of some extra cash? Are you looking to gain valuable work experience? If you answered yes to all of the above questions, then Spartan Athletics has the perfect opportunity for you to get paid while watching sports.

Here are the current Spartan TV vacant positions:

1 – volleyball play-by-play broadcaster

1 – basketball play-by-play broadcaster

2 – live sports director/switcher

4 – ENG camera operators

WOMEN’s VOLLEYBALL PLAY-BY-PLAY (1 opening)

-          Dynamic, energetic and self-motivated

-          Some working knowledge of the game

-          Be a team player

-          Responsible for the live play-by-play coverage of all home games

-          Prepare adequate player, game and league research for each broadcast

-          Conduct pregame, mid-game and post game interviews

-          Host pregame and post game summaries to be aired on Web TV

-          Be flexible – on some occasions you may be required to fill in for men’s play-by-play

BASKETBALL PLAY-BY-PLAY/GAME ANALYST (1 opening)

-          Dynamic, energetic and self-motivated

-          Solid understanding of the game

-          Be a team player

-          All home games: Provide PxP for women’s bball and game analyst for men’s bball

-          Prepare adequate player, game and league research for each broadcast

-          Conduct pregame, mid-game and post game interviews.

-          Host pregame and post game summaries to be aired on Web TV

-          Be flexible – on some occasions may fill in for men’s play-by-play

SPORTS BROADCAST DIRECTOR/SWITCHER (2 openings)

-          Ability to make decisions under fire & maintain order amongst all the broadcast staff

-          Responsible for directing specific camera shots and other production elements

-          Ability to deliver artistic, accurate and calm demands to staff

-          Ability to act quickly to switch from different camera shots/angles

-          Solid level of technical knowledge

-          Work with the broadcasters to coordinate the “big picture” including commercial breaks

-          Be available during the week to shoot pregame web TV story

-          Be available for a majority of all soccer, basketball or volleyball home games

-          Willingness to learn on-the-go

LIVE SPORTS ENG CAMERA OPERATOR (4 openings)

-          Initiative, mature judgement and the capability to take independent action

-          Be a team player

-          Ability to take direction from Director and deliver

-          Ability to work under high pressure

-          Solid level of technical knowledge

-          Assemble, prepare and set up equipment prior to production

-          Be prepared to innovate and experiment with shots

-          Experience in video editing with editing software

-          Be available for a majority of soccer, basketball or volleyball home games

-          Willingness to learn on-the-go
