LANGLEY, British Columbia – The Trinity Western men’s and women’s swimming teams had a breakthrough year in their second season under the Spartans umbrella as, for the first time in school history, they competed at both the Canada West and CIS championships.
DESJARLAIS WRAPS UP OLYMPIC TRIALS WITH 1500M SWIM

MONTREAL, Quebec – Trinity Western swimmer Christian Desjarlais swam in his fourth and final race at the 2012 Canadian Olympic Trials Saturday as he finished 47th out of 58 swimmers in the 1500m freestyle with a time of 16:41.49 in Montreal’s Olympic Pool.
DESJARLAIS SWIMS IN 100M FREE AT OLYMPIC TRIALS

MONTREAL, Quebec – Spartans swimmer Christian Desjarlais competed in his third race in four days at the 2012 Canadian Olympic Trials as he clocked a time of 55.01 in the 100m freestyle to finish 131st in a field of 156 athletes Friday at Montreal’s Olympic Pool.
DESJARLAIS COMPETES IN 400M FREE AT OLYMPIC TRIALS

MONTREAL, Quebec – Swimming in his second race at the 2012 Canadian Olympic Trials, Trinity Western swimmer Christian Desjarlais stopped the clock at 4:08.27 in the 400m freestyle preliminary race as he finished 57th in a field of 95 swimmers at Montreal’s Olympic Pool.

MONTREAL, Quebec – Trinity Western swimmer Christian Desjarlais competed in his first ever Canadian Olympic Trials race Tuesday and clocked a time of 1:57.18 in 200m freestyle event at Montreal’s Olympic Pool.

SWIMMERS RETURN WITH EXPERIENCE FROM FIRST EVER NATIONALS

MONTREAL, Quebec – The Trinity Western men’s swimming team, which included Christian Desjarlais and Patrick Loftus, appeared in its first ever CIS national championships this week at the CEPSUM Pool in Montreal, and came home a much more experienced tandem and one that now understands the level in which they have to swim to compete with the best in Canada.

LANGLEY, British Columbia – The Trinity Western swimming program will compete in its first ever CIS Championship this weekend as both Christian Desjarlais and Patrick Loftus will compete for the Spartans from Thursday to Saturday, Feb. 23-25, at the University of Montreal’s CEPSUM Pool.
